What is an archetype? Archetypes are powerful labels that are held within the unconscious mind. They influence how we see ourselves, and how we interactions with the world. They are psychological patterns derived from historical roles in life (e.g., mother, father, child, prostitute, protagonist, or healer). They also represent universal events or situations, such as initiation, death, and rebirth. Carl Jung, a protégé of Sigmund Freud, stated that archetypes are in the collective unconscious which is universal and impersonal in nature and are composed largely of mythological figures. Jung also referred to archetypes as sacred contracts; agreements that we make before being born to learn specific life lessons.
Archetypes become personalized when they are expressed in our psyche. All archetypes embody duality; that is both light and shadow, which manifest within a given situation or life event. Ideally, accessing the full aspects of an archetype provides for maximum benefit derived from understanding how an archetype influences your behavior.
Like astrology, there are 12 houses in which archetypes reside. The 12 houses represent the full spectrum of human experiences such as finances, relationships, career, life-values, etc. Knowing which archetypes reside in the different 12 houses provides insight into your individual strengths and challenges.
As your guide, I will access your Akashic records and identify the ruling archetypes within each of the 12 houses. Together, we will clear any blocked or distortions within a house. This clearing allows you to consciously engage with your archetypes, making them your companions and guides. This modality is powerful and transformative and provides healing on many levels of one’s experiences in this lifetime.
